Meghan Markle Expresses Gratitude to Billie Eilish for Thoughtful Gift Following Appeal for LA Wildfire Relief

Meghan Markle posted an emotional video thanking Billie Eilish after the singer answered her call for assistance on behalf of a teenage wildfire victim.

The Duchess of Sussex uploaded the video on her recently reactivated Instagram, unboxing a touching present from Billie for a teenager whose house was destroyed in the disastrous Los Angeles wildfires.

Meghan described meeting a mother and her 15-year-old daughter in Altadena. Their house had burned down. The teenage girl was heartbroken about losing a favorite t-shirt she had bought at a recent Billie Eilish concert. She had left it in their washing machine when they had evacuated in a hurry.

Detailing the devastating scene, Meghan described, “Their house, their washer, their dryer—everything’s gone. Nothing but ashes.”

Decided to assist, she took it upon herself to replace the destroyed item. “I don’t personally know Billie Eilish,” Meghan confessed, “but I was going to find a way to get this girl another shirt.

She left a voice note and sent a message seeking assistance, with the hope that someone could forward it to the Grammy award-winning singer.

The video then shows Meghan unwrapping a package from Billie, which contains a box of signed items, such as apparel and a personalized lunchbox for the young fan.

Meghan also thanked Adam Levine and wife Behati Prinsloo for facilitating her request to Billie.

Meghan and Prince Harry visited a site that serves food to wildfire victims last month. FOX 11 local news caught the couple serving victims, talking to first responders, and meeting Pasadena Mayor Victor Gordo. They also met with the founder of World Central Kitchen, chef José Andrés, to talk about the ongoing relief efforts.

The couple also allegedly opened up their Montecito home to friends who had been displaced by the fires, further illustrating their dedication to the impacted community.

“Let’s keep supporting those affected by the California wildfires,” Meghan wrote in her post. “A tremendous thank you to our first responders—the real heroes of our community.”
