In a poignant tribute, Diogo Jota’s wife Rute Cardoso reflected on their profound love story, declaring:

“Seven years ago, two teenagers aged 15 and 16 began their story. Two classmates who never imagined what the future held. Who would have thought we would live in three different countries, visit ten more, and remain the same passionate couple? “We grew up together and will grow old together. Seven years ago, we committed to each other until death. Today, that commitment remains unbroken.”

“When the baby was first placed in my arms, the feeling was indescribable. I was too sensitive to cut the cord.”

He humorously advised new fathers:

“Patience is key. And maybe ask Joe for more experienced advice.”
